The history of the creation of flexible tiles.
The birthplace of flexible tiles is considered to be North America. Approximately about 100 years ago, the first material appeared, resembling modern shingles. Now in America, more than 95% of all pitched roofs are covered with soft roofs. The history of the appearance of flexible tiles is interesting. Previously, the cheapest roofing material was cardboard impregnated with bitumen. Someone thought of cutting this material into rectangles and laying it on their roof in a checkerboard pattern with overlaps so that it does not leak.
This idea was picked up by neighbors and soon entrepreneurs, who put on stream the production of roofing material called shingles (shingles, shingles; pebbles).
